I have thought that wild nature have many kinds of creatures. But it's not true. The edge between human living places and wild nature. It's a full world. Tidal flats also. Many kinds of plants and animals can live there. Developing a natural often lose the edge. In the world of the straight line, there is no ambiguity and no diversity.

自然は深ければ深いほど豊かになるのではなく、
人間の住む世界と野生の自然の間にある境目、
エッジの部分に豊かな世界が生まれる。
里山も干潟もエッジ。
植物も動物もたくさんの種類がそこには生息できる。
自然を整備することは、そのエッジをなくしてしまうことが多い。
直線の世界にはあいまいさがなく、多様性もなくなっていく。

By the combination of trees in a garden, space is used in three dimensions. It make shade and the different environment. When you create a pond in combination with a tree, another creatures can live there. A spiral garden has difference of height. It changes the humidity of the soil. Various plants can be growed there. We can find the pattern of shapes in the nature and understand the meaning. We can make something with using the pattern. Trees and leaves and flowers have full of functional beauty.

畑に木を組み合わせると、空間が２次元から３次元に使われる。
日陰ができ、環境が変わる。
木と組み合わせて池を作ると、そこにまた別の生物が住める。
スパイラルガーデンも、螺旋形で高低差があることで、
水の流れと土の湿度の変化を利用し、多様な植物が育てられるようになっている。
自然の中にある形状、そのパターンを見つけ、その意味を理解することで、
そのフォルムを利用してものを作ることができる。
木も葉も花も、機能美に満ちている。

In the permaculture garden, we plant lots of perennials. We will create a stable and hassle-free environment. They grow with good combination plant called Companion Plants. They help each other.
We make a plan that the space and time and roles have the multiplicity. The functional system is automatically worked. We put the time and effort in the Introduction. It leads to save trouble later on.

パーマカルチャーの畑では、多年草をたくさん植え、
安定し手間のかからない環境を作っていく。
コンパニオンプランツと呼ばれる組合せのいい植物同士を一緒に育て、
互いに助け合うようにする。
そうやって、空間、時間、役割に多重性をもたせることで、
自動的に機能するシステムが作られる。
はじめに手をかけることは、後々の手間を省くことにつながる。

At a place where the creatures act naturally, i can feel life force and good feeling. We can plan for others by love and wisdom. We have a ability for creating a beautiful harmonic place. From a teenager, i have doubted that human being is necessary for Mother Earth. But now, i can feel a hope for human being and me.

生き物たちが自然の営みを続けている場所は、生命があり、気持ちのいい場所。
自然の豊かなところへ行き恩恵を受けるだけでなく、
より美しい場所を作る能力も、人は持っているのだ。
10代からずっと、人間という生き物が地球に必要だと思えなかった。
でもこのことを知って、人間という生き物である自分に希望を感じられた。
